There are a huge number of areas where pylon, Pillars and stele can be used: gas stations, cinemas, business centers, roadside hotels, shopping centers and much more. These are free-standing advertising media that differ in size and shape. Ceilings are the largest, suitable only for external design. Pylons are compact and can be used indoors. Pillars are a modern multifunctional subspecies of pylons. Regardless of the physical parameters, they all perform approximately the same function: draw attention to the object, guide and inform the consumer.

An advertising stele is a high (from 3 to 30 meters) structure that is installed near a building or at a short distance from it, most often by the road. The basis for it is a frame made of profiled pipes. In the production of advertising walls, they are sheathed with acrylic, cellular polycarbonate or composite and pasted over with a film with an image. Installation of advertising ceilings is carried out on a concrete foundation. In addition, the installation is illuminated with LEDs from the inside or spotlights from above. Illuminated signs and neon letters are also used for this purpose.
Based on the purpose and functionality:
- Navigation stele. It is used as a visible, bright landmark. Having placed it in places of concentration of pedestrians and motorists, you can direct consumers to an object located far from the road. This group includes, among other things, a stele indicating settlements (not to be confused with a road sign!), which is installed at the entrance to the city.
- Information stele. In addition to the company's logo and name, useful information is placed on such media. For example, fuel prices or a list of companies represented in the business center.
- Imidzheva. It serves as a kind of "vertical stand-alone sign". It attracts attention, emphasizes the status of the organization. The production of advertising walls of such a plan should be entrusted to experienced specialists who will be able to develop a presentable and unique design.
By size:
- Small-sized - from 3 to 6 meters.
- Large - from 7 to 30 meters.
By form:
- Flat - simple and concise, affordable, quick to execute.
- Rounded - a more complex and advertising design to manufacture. The stele of a streamlined shape looks spectacular and stylish.
Advertising pylons can be no more than 2.5 meters high. The structure consists of a metal frame fixed to the foundation and a box made of acrylic, plastic or other materials.
The main purpose of such carriers is navigation. They inform about being in the vicinity of one or another object, help to navigate inside the building. Also, pylons are excellent for PR of goods and services.
Advertising pylons differ, first of all, in their location:
- External. They are placed in pedestrian areas, at the exit from the subway, in parking lots, near shopping centers, cinemas, business centers, etc.
- Interior. Used inside buildings. In addition to shopping and business centers, they are in demand at airports and train stations.

Type advertising surface pylons are divided into:
- City lights - a standard one- or two-sided box with a static image, with or without illumination.

- Pillars - a static or rotating pedestal with several information areas (more details below).
According to research, indoor and outdoor pillars can most effectively attract the interest of young consumers. Therefore, it is actively used to promote brands whose target audience is youth. Including, it is advisable to use them in cinemas, gyms and entertainment centers.
There are two main pillar formats:
- A static three-dimensional cabinet with an unchanging image. Dihedral convex or trihedral concave pillars are most often used.
-- Volumetric Pillars with four faces, rotating. The most popular format. Causes interest due to illumination, smooth rotation. Pylons and ceilings are technologically quite difficult to manufacture.
